AP Testing for Homeschool College-Bound Students
This week's podcast episode features an interview with HCS member Heather Jensen regarding AP testing and other preparations for homeschooled college-bound students.
Summary of the five steps in registering for an AP test as explained in this episode.
Step 1 Decide which AP exam or exams you want. You’ll want to look at the list of 38 exams on the AP section of the College Board website.
Step 2 Find a school that is offering the specific subject test that you want. This means finding a public or private school that is offering an AP course in your subject. If they offer that course, then they will offer that test.
Step 3 Get permission from the AP coordinator to let your student test with their school.
Step 4 Pay the fee.
Step 5 Get a Join Code from the AP coordinator and plug it in online.
